hair colorist definition

A hair colorist is a person who has studied a variety of hair coloring and chemical science techniques in order to understand how hair color operates.  In general, a colorist does not cut or style clients' hair.  Instead, he/she focuses on color consulting and in some salons may apply hair color for customers.
